Half

Elena's all important half birthday happened on April 4 with 'half' the fanfare it deserved. She had her favorite breakfast and half a birthday cake, enjoying her moment and eager for her real birthday and the corresponding every other year birthday party. She is trying to decide between Candy Land and Barbie themes. Stay tuned.

We also welcomed Alexandria Escobar this weekend before she spent the week with her best friend. It was amazing to see her all grown up and we can color Ms. Elena smitten with the 14-year old beauty. Alex's departure was all but devastating to our girl after a weekend of fun and the annual Laurel Oaks Egg Hunt.

Michael continues talking more every day and sadly, I think he's slowly losing his love for hair. Once unable to sleep without holding fistfuls of my hair, my Buck still grasps it, but seems to be losing his need for it as much. Maybe I'm imagining it with his 2nd birthday looming. It's just not possible that our little guy is so big. I'm quite sure Elena just turned two. Damn this time warp.

God, how we love these children. Thank you every day.

Shaving cream dreams

This is what you do when you babysit the neighbor kids and you're about to rip out the backyard.

Give the girl a hand

Last Friday night, Elena took a very bad fall as she trotted through the house. Thank goodness it wasn't broken (x-rays confirmed this), but she still can't put pressure on said hand. Here's a shot of it...we thought it important since this was the first of what I'm sure, will be lots of swollen body parts.

Sausalito equals heaven

Our Saturday trip to Sausalito and visit with the McNichols following, was nothing short of heaven. Kids and adults alike, spent the day basking in 70 degree weather and activities that made little minds spin... We all need more days like this.
